Add shorter workout sessions

Plenty of recent articles on the M&F magazine recommend shorter workout sessions (keep it under an hour). Most people I know struggle to put 2 hrs in a gym. Especially if you want to mix cardio with it. 3 months into my training programme and my sessions are getting longer and longer! I have started to skip certain exercises due to time constraints. I rest 1 min or less between exercises/sets and still cannot finish some days on the intermediate 5-day programme.

        Richard,
The workouts shouldnt be taking you that long. Perhaps try to use shorter rest periods. Even with routines that are High Volume, try condensing the program by utilizing the super, and tri set principle.

That would be intermediate muscle gain/tone by the way. Which is asking me to set up 2+ hrs /day of gym (some days) in the 3rd month...previously I could do everything in about 1 hr, which is ideal for us that do weights on mornings and cardio at nights.
